Happy New Year, pals! Hoping your 2012 is coming up roses so far.
We’ve got a couple new shows added to the site, and we’re going to do our darndest to keep adding new items as they pop up. For now, we’re real honored to have gotten some nice press from the likes of the Boston Phoenix and Bradleys Almanac in the last couple months. We’ve added some links in the press section if you are so inclined to check them out.
We’ll be heading into the studio in early march to work on a couple new tracks - one will be in your earhole in a surprise manner and the others, well, we’ll just wait and see how they come out. Rest assured, we’ll be creating a full-length this year, and at the very least, have it out and about this time next year.
In the meantime, check out a show or send us a love note - whichever you prefer. We gotta say, the Autochrome release in late March is going to be beyond fun - we truly hope you’re able to check it out. Stay warm, friends, and keep in touch!

Happy Holidays friends! Hope your cheer level is at all an-time high. While we’ve spent some time playing out in support of the EP, we’ve been busy writing as well. We’re all pretty pumped about heading into the studio and seeing what we can get out there this year.
There’s been a lot of nice things said about the EP, and I’ve updated the press section to the best of my knowledge, but to all that have taken the time to listen/buy/talk about it , we are sincerely so grateful. It’s nice to see people enjoying listening as much as we enjoyed making it.
Check out the shows section, we’ve added a few. We’ve also added a link to buy the EP from our label.

You Are Not Going To Heaven is officially released! You can find out where
9/10/2011
The time draws close, my friends! The release show is in less than 2 weeks, and we’ve added a NY show to the action - October 8th at the Party Xpo in Brooklyn. It’s hard to believe its the first time we’ve gotten down there, but we’re excited to say the least.
We’ve got a couple more reviews on the upcoming EP - and we really can’t thank everyone enough for all the kind stuff that’s been said. If you are so inclined, check them out in the reviews section here.
We will doing a live radio show on Pipeline on the 20th, and I have to guarantee it will come out better than the last time we did that! If you heard it, you know what I mean. I’ll post the details here when I have them.
Keep checking back - there’s a lot going on right now and we are doing are best to keep this site as up to date is possible! xo

Ok, we’re getting psyched for this release show. Marconi and Autochrome are now on the bill and, let me just say, this is going to be a total blast. Hope you can make it out. Check out the awesome flyer to the left by Jesse Duquette.
The record got a kind mention in the always awesome blog, Built On A Weak Spot - check it out here and take your time sifting through this blog - its excellent!
Oh man, see you soon!

Whoops we did it again - we played with your heart by making you wait another three months for a status update! There is no excuse, but baby we won’t do it again - we just had a bad day at work.
Anyway, we’ve had an awesome summer - couple of great shows (ESPECIALLY the Guillermo Sexo record release where all bands slayed)! We also finished our record - the upcoming “You Are Not Going To Heaven” EP coming out on 100m records October 4th, 2011. As we speak, the vinyl is being pressed and, with a pretty stunning package design by our own William Scales, we’re pretty psyched to see it/hold it/love it. Jason Dean of 7inches blog fame is also co-releasing the vinyl with 100m under his Sweaters and Pearls record label. For that, we love him even more than we did before.
We’re playing a record release show a little in advance of the actual release date - September 23rd. Why, you ask? Because we are going to be sharing the stage with the one-and-only Emergency Music for their long-awaited return to Boston! The show is at TT’s, and it’s going to motherfucking sell out. Get a ticket, bish!
We’re just so happy. We hope you are too? If not, try to be, ok? We hate to see you this way.
P.S. we got a little pre-press from our favorite blog wizard, Jay Breitling. You can check it out here.

Hey internerds! We’ve got a few new shows posted on the site, and we’d really love to see your faces at one (or more!) of them. We’ll be unveiling a couple new gems at these shows and we could really use your constructive, gentle critique - come heckle us (then hold us and tell us it’s not our fault)
In other news, our EP, “You Are Not Going To Heaven”, is done with the mastering process and we’re about to ship it out to get pretty and physical. There will be vinyl, there will be digital, there will be love. We’ve got a kick-ass release show in the works for the end of the summer/early fall, and we’re very psyched about getting this out there.
We’re hard at work, so more news is soon to come - for now, enjoy the spring, friends.

As you can see, there was a little slacking going on here for a few months - so...ugh, Happy New Year? Who really wants to talk during the winter anyway?
Well, we’ve put away our winter coats and put on our productive pants. The most exciting development is the addition of our new drummer, Justin Kehoe! We miss Dave terribly but, as he enters into the world of wedded bliss, we are thrilled to add Justin to the mix - as you will be once you see him play! Speaking of that, we’ve got a couple shows coming down the pike that we are very excited about. Check out the shows page for the details.
We’ve also finished the mixing of our EP, “You Are Not Going To Heaven”, and its being mastered as we speak. Thanks to the recording and mixing genius of Shaun Curran and the inevitable mastery coming out of Half Son Of Audio, we’re really, really psyched with the results. We’ll be doing a small run of 10” records, alongside a large ass run of digital download options, and are looking to have it in the faceholes of the public this Summer. Certainly as the day approaches more details will be posted here. Check back often - I promise it won’t take another six months to say hi.

Happy Halloween, friends! We posted a little video of the Brandeis radio show in the diary section. Check it out!

Oh hello, I didn’t see you there!
It is exciting times in the world of Soccer Mom. We’re really humbled and psyched that Sonic Masala took some time to sit and talk with us from across the pond. They posted the interview this week, and you can read it here. If you haven’t read this blog, do yourself a favor and bookmark it - it’s written fantastically, updated all the time and full of really great bands that would be hard to find otherwise.
Hey, so that Bruar Falls show is not happening on 11/13, but we are working to reschedule a NY show in the coming months. The good news is we’ve added a couple new shows that we are super excited about - First we’re playing with Young Adults and Golden Girls at Flywheel in Easthampton MA on 11/19. We are PUMPED for this - hope anyone that is able to come, does...because it is going to rule.
Second, we’re playing at PA’s lounge on December 4th for the record release of our dear pal Greg Lyon. This guy is a workhorse, and this record is awesome. Sarah Borges and Soft Pyramids are also on the bill, so it is, again, guaranteed to rule.
Lastly, if you’re looking for that Brandeis radio show, we won’t be able to post it. We are working on throwing up a video of some of the session in the diary section of the site, but, frankly, I’m still trying to figure out how to do that. In the meantime, thanks for coming by - we just love it when you stop in and say hello. We get lonely.
10/9/10
Hey Everyone - we’ll be doing a live radio show for Brandeis University’s station, WBRS (100.1 fm) on October 20th. The show starts at 9PM, and we will have a recording of it posted here for your audio consumption (unless it’s terrible, in which case we’ll tell you it was great but the recording got destroyed.
Rumor also has it, we’ve got a show booked in Brooklyn at Bruar Falls November 13th. Details to come, but get ready NY!
10/1/10
We just finished tracking some new songs with the resplendent Shaun Curran. Still have some mixing to do, but we look forward to another release soon. And there may even be a track or two up on this very website soon.
We are also very excited to be playing on WBRS, (Brandeis University radio station, 100.1 FM). We will be playing on Wednesday, October 20 at 8pm. We will (hopefully) have a recording of the show as well, which we will gladly post here to free you all from the bonds of the time/space continuum.
Lastly, we will be playing at the Rosebud in Davis Square (yes, as in that diner ... but there is apparently a second room behind there) on Friday, October 22.

A new review of the S/T 7” was posted on 7inches blog: (7inches.blogspot.com) that was very kind and thoughtful. Really, do yourselves a favor and check it out - he’s got a bunch of great reviews and interviews with bands you don’t know you love yet. Great place to check out new stuff. Thanks, Jason!

Thanks for stopping by our new site. You can catch all of our latest updates, show listings and listen to/buy our music here. We hope to turn the site into more of a working diary of what’s going on with the band as it evolves...but you have to start somewhere.
In the meantime, you can get in touch with us here for any booking or general inquiries. Thanks again for visiting.
